(% DISCONNECT POWER TO THE LATHE!

)% Remove the change gear cover at from the head-

stock.

*% Remove the tension off the old V-belts by loosening

the motor mount hex bolts (see=`^li\.)).

+% Remove the old belts and install the new ones.

Always replace these belts in pairs.

,% Tighten the motor mount bolts until you achieve

⁄4"

of belt deflection when lightly pushed with your fin-

ger tips.

-% Close the change gear cover, and reconnect the

lathe to the power source.
